First gay cigarette ad?
Cigarette smoking is a ubiquitous vice in the gay community, clustering around bars, alienation, "rebelliousness" and who knows what else. Cigarette and alcohol companies continue to financially support pride marches and advertise in gay magazines.
Looking through some vintage ads recently, I saw what might just be the first cigarette ad targeted at the gay community (Broadway, really, but is that such a stretch?):
